Exciting opportunity to work with exciting growing Australian web development company, responsible for product enhancement and external outreach for new website on entertainment news. If you are interested in product management and marketing in the Web 2.0 /Social Media space, and want to learn how to deliver in a fast-paced environment, this internship experience will give you a head start in your career, and will be lots of fun at the same time!

You can work on your own time, from your own space. Weekly meetings in Sydney will occur.

Responsibilities include:

* Working with CEO and engineers on product improvements and fixes
* Refreshing site content daily and seeking out new and interesting content sources
* Developing creative strategies to spread word of the website
* Implementing offline activities to showcase the site
* Reaching out to user base online and tell them about the site
* Developing and tracking associated metrics
* Evaluating revenue models


Time Commitment:
10 hours/week
November 24th - March 24th
Can be extended upon mutual agreement

Requirements:

* Comfortable with social networks, blogging, chatting, html and videos.
* Being able to work independently, with minimal supervision
* Interested in celebrity news
* Writing skills
* Outgoing and creative


What you will learn:

* The intricacies of guerilla marketing in an online social media context
* How to come up with viable ideas and translate them into new features on a site
* The latest in SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
* Proficiency with Google Analytics and other web metric tools
* How Startups operate and the speed at which results are to be delivered
